The Greek Resort That Everyone's Lusting Over

Amanzoe resort is on Greece’s eastern Peloponnesian peninsula and is a Doric-columned, marble-hewn hilltop homage to classicism that could wow the most demanding of deities with its serene, herb-scented setting, 360-degree views and a stress-banishing spa.

It draws its name from the Sanskrit-derived word for 'peace' and zoe, the Greek word for 'life'. With a private Beach Club in a picturesque bay and easy access to the cosmopolitan islands of Spetses and Hydra, peace is exactly what you’ll be getting.

Service is about providing what guests want, when they want it. There are no bath butlers; no endless parade of staff to replace the bath towels or check the mini bar. But leave your room, even briefly, and it will have been serviced by your return.

Private beach club, speedboats for island-hopping excursions, two swimming pools, gym, spa, yoga studio, tennis courts, boutique, library, free WiFi, and, this being Greece, a small outdoor amphitheatre.

In rooms: private swimming pool, minibar, TV, hair dryer, bespoke Aman bath products.

Gather at the main pool, an infinity-edged, lounger-lined stretch of azure with countryside views so impressive they’ll distract you from your lengths. Shade-seekers will appreciate the pergola-sheltered smaller pool, and if you’re a spontaneous skinny-dipping sort, each pavilion has its own private secluded pool. There are free transfers to the private Beach Club where you'll find two more 25-metre lap pools and a sheltered bay to swim in.

Ancient wellness rituals get a 21st-century update in the Aman Spa where massages, facials, body scrubs and Watsu hydrotherapy treatments are all available for solo or couples’ relaxation. For further pampering, there are two hammams, a yoga studio and a beauty salon.

The very stylish spa offers treatments based on the healing philosophy of Greek medicine (my facial involved liberal application of local organic honey said to have rejuvenating properties) and a range of holistic therapies, including Pilates, yoga and aquatic bodywork.

Recently, Net-A-Porter invited a group of influencers to stay at the Amanzoe resort to celebrate the launch of Net-a-Porter’s vacation shop, Jet-a-Porter, dedicated to all things destination dressing.

Influencers like Yoyo Cao, Nicole Warne, Gala Gonzalez were invited to the getaway trip, and didn’t hesitate to post the landscape views in combination with the luxury goods on their Instagrams.
