CPHFW came and went as if no time had passed, and we had fun keeping track on what influencers were wearing, where they were going and most importantly, what they were carrying. It wasn’t long till I realised a specific brand, BOYY, was being carried by nearly every major attendee at these fashion shows.
So, why is it so popular?
Founded in 2006 by Wannasiri Kongman and Jesse Dorsey, the brand journey has taken the two all over the world in building their vision. Boyy spread like wildfire in the street style scene, with designs hailed as this generation's ‘anti-It bag’. Having initially created just handbags, they now continue to build on their product line, offering shoes, sunglasses, scarves and hats, making itself an established accessory brand.
Loved by everyone from gloval fashion editors to street stylers in Copenhagen, Boyy has managed to achieve a timeless yet striking design amongst a sea of fast-changing trends. Their philosophy is that a women's accessory should have a masculine feel, balancing out a woman's femininity, making it an androgynous brand.
The bag was carried countless times at Copenhagen this past week, making it a Nordic necessity this season. Will we continue seeing bloggers and influencers carrying the bag in the next upcoming months, or is it simply a current accessory trend? Who knows.
