White winter outwear with leather pants, suede cowboy boots and patchwork mohair sweaters; Ferretti presents a chic and wearable collection for FW19.
Alberta Ferretti gave us a modern daywear collection, moving away from her usual ethereal comfort zone. Some of the 80’s inspired looks gave us that typical Ferretti imaginative flair, including one-shoulder knit sweaters, and redolent blouses; everything perfect to give personality for the FW19 season.
Sometimes, brands are stepping-on-eggshells when they release collections with over 50 looks, however Ferretti bit the bullet with her 58-look collection. The colour theme; a transition from cream monochromatic looks, to grey and black, to evening-wear had a strange flux but it worked. The collection was described as, “the Alberta Ferretti FW19 collection encourages women to dare, to embrace the unexpected and to express themselves through a freedom of style that is not bound by rules and trends.”
The show closed with nothing short of understated glamour. With Bella Hadid in an embellished silk gown, Alexandra Micu in a metallic strapless number and Anok Yai in a black plunge dress; all dresses only appropriate for exclusive events.
