The last goodbye of Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi.
Since 1965, Lagerfeld was the Creative Director of the Italian-brand. The only thing that separated him from his 54-year-long tenure, was death. Though Lagerfeld was no saint (which made sense as he refused to wear Saint Laurent), we will record his last collection for the Fendi luxury house.
The Fendi collection incorporated everything oversized; including oversized bows, sheer floor length organza dresses and vinyl galore all happened at once yesterday. The baguette bag was back and better than ever.

Monochromatic diaphanous dresses, paired with knee boots and worn with the perfect slicked hair; it couldn’t get more Fendi than that.
After the finale, the brand paid tribute to the designer by airing a portion of the documentary “Karl Lagerfeld Sketches His Life”, and left his own sketches on every seat at the show. Silvia Venturini Fendi, along with some of the models, like Miss Gigi Hadid, and the audience, were in tears as she took her finale bow. Karl Lagerfeld’s influence covered not only the collection, but also many people in the fashion and the design industries.
“The bond between Karl Lagerfeld and Fendi is fashion’s longest love story....He shall be so missed.”- Silvia Venturini Fendi, Karl’s collaborator since 1965.
