The ex designer for Dior, John Galliano, and since 2014 for Maison Margiela, has collaborated with the well-known fashion photographer : Nick Knight to carry out a surprising short film featured with Duckie Thot and filmed in 360-degree. The purpose of the film, is to honour the iconic Glam Slam Bag.
SHOWstudio described the film as an “A visual dialogue between creative director John Galliano and photographer Nick Knight”, and based on “philosophies established at the house of Margiela through recent collections".
Through this short film, John Galliano wanted to pay tribute to one of the most emblematic pieces of the house, the pillow-shaped Glam Slam Bag, inspired by vintage style and neo-futuristic.
When science fiction and reality intertwine it gives us "Reality Invers". The film “is released in both a standard version and 360-degree vision, allowing the viewer to move freely through the image with just a click of a mouse” and it literally plunges us in an immersive experience.
The film will be screened on February 16 and 17, throughout London’s Serpentine Gallery.
