And for the grand opening of PFW, we have Jacquemus!
Simon Jacquemus always nails the Southern-Frenchesque aesthetic in his work time-after-time, which is appropriate as he was born into a family of farmers in the South of France. But theres always something about his collection that enthrals us. And this time, it was the mini, mini, mini le chiquito bag.
This new Jacquemus felt fresh and modern, presenting his new collection in the Paris Event Center. Jacquemus created Place Jacquemus, a fictional village inspired by the rural villages in the South of France, where he grew up. The decor featured colourful store-fronts, a florist, a food kiosk and towels drying on clothing lines.
Whats more picturesque than that?
His collection was surrealist, with deconstructed silhouettes for the modern woman. For someone who loves spring and summer, and makes clothes accordingly, he presented a great FW19 collection. We look forward to see his next collection, and can’t wait to see which celebrities love the mini chiquito as much as we do!
