Cecilie Bahnsen is so stranger to dainty, ruffled organza babydoll dresses, or so we thought. She came back this CPFW to present her newly formatted delicate ensembles but with a twist. The show opened with a black lace dress paired with black socks and a pair of black sneakers; not your typical daily wear. The first 12 looks were overwhelmingly black, but abruptly followed by a white day-printed dress, which is more like the Cecilie we know and love.
I applaud Cecilie Bahnsen for designing for the modern woman; the one who dreams of gallivanting to Germany to become a milkmaid and marry a man named Sasha. Or, I could live my Anne of Gables dream with this collection. Cecilie Bahnsen has singlehandedly perfected the new idea of femininity.
