How to Use the Law of Attraction

Ask, believe, receive.

It seems too good to be true, but when you apply the Law of Attraction correctly, you can manifest anything you want. It sounds like foolery, I know that’s what I thought when I first started trying it out, but it genuinely works when you constantly practice it, even if you do not believe at first, you have to convince yourself it is real.

If you do not know what the Law of Attraction is, it is the belief that whatever you put out into the world/universe, it comes back to you. Our thoughts and words are all wave frequencies that go out into the universe and return back to us and turn into reality. When you get the sudden motivation to do something and act on it, that was once a thought you turned into something real and tangible in your life.

Like attracts like. If you are optimistic about a certain situation, for example, a job you have been wanting and you get the interview for, and afterwards you go home and are just thinking, don’t let your mind wander in doubt or wishful thinking. Instead, tell yourself silently and/or out loud, “I got the job.” Speak and think as if you already have it. Confidence is key. Notice how those who are confident always end up in circumstances they want to be in.

When you start thinking, “I don’t think I’m going to get this job,” or “I hope I get this job,” you are telling the universe you do not have it. When you think you are lacking, the lack thereof will stay. Believe in yourself and that everything coming towards you is nothing but good.

A common misconception of the LOA is that people expect things to just fall into their lap once they ask for it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that 98% of the time. You must go out and try for it and once it is in reach, that is when you start claiming it as yours.

For me, I remember being so adamant about wanting to get in shape. I would diet and work out and it never did anything except upset me because it would take so long to see just a little bit of progress. Once I discovered how to use the LOA, I would try it out every day and night and look at myself in the mirror and start saying my affirmation, “I love my body, I am in my dream shape and I got here quickly, safely and with minimal effort.” At this point, I sound delirious and trying to make myself believe it will happen. I kept saying it and thinking it, and eventually I lost 35 pounds in 3 months with a basic, not-so strict diet and with simple exercise. After the 3 months, I had a regular doctor’s appointment and I left with healthy results and this time, with a normal BMI. That’s when I realized that the LOA worked.

As overused and corny as it sounds, you need to believe in yourself and your destination. There really is no limit when trying to manifest something and it will take some time, but it will come to you. The simplest or wildest yearnings could come true. Have confidence in yourself and your desires and even though it may be difficult at first to train your mind to be more optimistic, especially if you are a natural pessimist like I was, do not give up on what you want.
